Thank you for your interest in the research in our group. We combine knowledges in different domains of physics and engineering to develop unique capabilities for investigating nanoscale physics. We look for highly motivated people who share the same interests in the nano world and have the curiosity about how stuff works. If you are interested, please feel free to contact Dr. Yongtao Cui. We hope you will bring in new knowledges to our research and we will explore together and learn even more as a team.

Postdoc:

We have a position for postdoc scholar. Candidates must hold (or expect) a PhD degree in experimental condensed matter physics or related fields. Expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred: 1) cryogenic instrumentation and transport measurement; 2) low dimensional materials; 3) scanning probe microscopy; 4) microwave electronics. Interested candidates please send a CV along with a brief description of research interest to Dr. Cui.

Graduate Students:

Current graduate students in Physics or Engineering are encouraged to talk to Dr. Cui about opportunities to work in our lab for your degree. If you are exploring research groups, feel free to come visit our lab in MSE 055. You are also welcome to do a short term rotation to see how you like it.

Perspective students should apply to one of the Graduate Programs at UC Riverside (PhysicsEngineeringGeneral Info). You can also contact Dr. Cui for suggestions.

Undergraduate Students:

We always welcome undergraduate students to explore research activities in our lab. Join us if you are curious about how research works in real world. This will be a highly rewarding experience.
